About The Author

The Research Library www.legallectual.com is the brainchild of Mohamed Nawaz Haindaday, Advocate by training and practice.  With a background of an early training in the course of Chartered Accountancy, followed by practice in hardcore tax consulting and litigation for more than 20 years, and now into practice as a Litigating Counsel at the High Court of Bombay, mainly on the Original Side in Constitutional and Tax law, the author has the desire to contribute to the intellectual side of the practice of law.  

This Research Library aims to collect a wide array of discussion on laws as they are enacted, as they are interpreted and as they should be applicable.  Laws enacted by the legislature and as applied on a day-to-day basis are often subjected to judicial interpretation.  A judicial interpretation, different from the legislative intent, results in the law standing altered in terms of judicial interpretation and which then becomes the law of the land.  The articles on this Research Library will not only present an analysis on the enactments and their judicial interpretations but will also attempt to offer the author’s own opinions on the law as it develops.
